Hey everyone,

I just wanted to write a brief letter to give you the lowdown from this past Sunday’s Chicago Marathon. Almost of all of you know I was running the 26.2 miles to raise money for the charity Girls on the Run (www.gotrcharlotte.org) This is a very special charity for me because I love to run and I love to share that with girls and help them build character and self esteem. Many of you don’t know it takes only $150 to fully fund one girl for a season of Girls on the Run. Many of you also don’t know how quickly some sites fill up. This year we have over 700 girls, the most ever in a season and we hope to keep growing. But with that growth means the costs start to add up. It costs $2500 to open a new site for GOTR.

Hometown: Born in San Antonio, Texas but have lived in Charlotte for almost 20 years!

I successfully completed my first marathon as many of you already know. I am proud to share my results. Thanks to everyone who supported me and cheered for me during my long training.....and no, I don't know if I'll do another! Click here to see the Thunder Road Marathon 2006 results.

Little bit about your radio history and where you grew-up, if you did grow up yet...I was born in Texas, but then moved to Kentucky, Ohio, Michigan and then North Carolina in the 5th grade. Been here ever since. After graduating college at the tender age of 21, I actually started in radio at Lite 102.9 as the Lovesongs producer after leaving the Program Director a voicemail! Simultaneously I ended up at WFMX in Statesville as the morning show co-host before transferring to Austin, Texas. I worked at KASE 101 as the mid-day goddess then when I was 4 months pregnant with Ainsley, I was let go due to budget cuts. I landed a job 2 weeks later at Majic 95.5 as the Lovesongs hostess. After I came back from maternity leave, I was transferred to Mix 94.7 down the hall. Almost a year later, my position became part time so I applied for a job back in Charlotte. Tom hired me over the phone! I've been here ever since.

Pets: 1 calico cat, Isabella

Schools: Sterling Elementary, Quail Hollow Junior High, Providence High, Appalachian State University....I actually have a communications degree with a broadcasting and journalism double concentration!

Favorite Charlotte Eats: RuSan's, Sushi 101, Namaste, Bonefish Grill, Dearstyne's

Favorite 3 Bands: Matchbox Twenty, Dave Matthews, 3 Doors Down

3 DVD’s you would actually pay for instead of begging the Promotions Department for a free copy: none! Ha! If it’s Free, it’s for me!!!

Last Job before radio: waitress at the old Darryl’s on Albemarle (no longer there)

Job you would have if you were not in radio: Personal Trainer

Fill in the Blank: I can’t make it through the day without a run outdoors along a trail and lots of hugs and kisses from my daughter and boyfriend, Ben.

Fun Facts: I am a volunteer head coach for Girls on the Run(www.gotrcharlotte.org) I have a HUGE garden in my backyard...want any tomatoes? And I’ve appeared on 2 home improvement television shows. Trading Spaces on TLC and Warehouse Warriors on DiY.

Favorite pizza topping: Only thin crust with lots of red onions, bell peppers, tomatoes and jalapenos.

Favorite spot: Running along the McAlpine trail

Favorite weekend getaway: My boyfriend's condo on Hilton Head Island or the Blue Ridge Parkway

Favorite Movie: Office Space
