Official Contest Rules
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCE OF WINNING. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED.
1. HOW TO ENTER:
A. The “Scrubbing Bubbles” Contest (the “Contest”) will begin on Monday, August 18, 2008 at 8:30 AM Eastern Time (“ET”) and end on Tuesday, September 2nd, 2008 at 11:00 am ET (the “Contest Period”).
B. To participate in the Contest, listeners can register via the following method:
Beginning at 8:30 am on Monday, August 18, 2008, log onto the WKQC website at www.k1047.com and click on the K 104.7 Contest page and enter to win. Complete the online entry form including first name, last name, complete address, city, state, zip code, home telephone number, date of birth and a valid email address. If you are not a member of the K 104.7 VIP Club you can join by going to www.k1047.com to sign up. There is no fee to become a VIP Club member. Only one (1) Internet entry per person and one (1) Internet entry per email address are permitted. Internet entries will be deemed made by the authorized account holder of the email address submitted at the time of entry. The authorized account holder is the natural person who is assigned to the email address by an Internet access provider, online service provider or other organization that is responsible by assigning email addresses or the domain associated with the submitted email address. Multiple participants are not permitted to share the same email address. All entries submitted become the sole property of WKQC and will not be acknowledged or returned. For purposes of these Official Rules, “receipt” of an online entry will be solely determined when the www.WKQC.com web server records the entry information. Any automated computer receipt (such as one confirming delivery of email) does not constitute actual receipt of an entry form for purposes of these Official Rules. Use of any device to automate entry is prohibited. WKQC’ computer is the official timekeeping device for this Contest.
C. WKQC is not responsible for entries not received due to difficulty accessing the Internet, service outage or delays, computer difficulties or other technological glitches.
D. All online entries must be received by 5:30 PM ET Friday, August 29, 2008.
2. ELIGIBILITY RESTRICTIONS:
A. The Contest is open to all listeners of WKQC who are 18 years of age or older who reside in a county which is part of Charlotte, NC Total Survey Area, as defined by Arbitron. Employees of WKQC, its licensee, its corporate parents, subsidiaries and affiliates, its advertising agencies, participating sponsors/promotional partners, other radio stations in the Charlotte metropolitan area and the members of their immediate families and/or households are ineligible to participate or win. Subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations.
B. Listeners are eligible to win a WKQC Contest only once every sixty (60) days and are only eligible to receive a prize valued at six hundred ($600) or more only once every six (6) months. Only one winner per household is permitted in any Contest.
C. Winner must provide government issued photo ID and sign and return any required Affidavit of Eligibility and/or Publicity/Liability Release.
D. Contestants are required to provide truthful information and WKQC will reject and delete any entry it discovers to be false or fraudulent. WKQC will disqualify any entry from individuals who do not meet the eligibility requirements, and WKQC will also delete any entry received from persons under the age of 13 in compliance with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act.
3. PRIZES:
A. Ten (10) winners will receive one (1) prize. The prize consists of the following:
One (1) Scrubbing Bubbles Automatic Shower Cleaner Kit w/dual sprayer. Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”) of the kit = $25.00.
B. All prizes or prize certificates may be picked up at the K 104.7 studios Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:30pm ET, located at 4015 Stuart Andrew Charlotte, NC 28217. The winner will forfeit any prize or prize certificate not claimed within thirty (30) days of winning and an alternative winner will not be selected. In the event that a prize or prize certificate is mailed to the winner, it will be with the prior written consent of the winner and therefore, winner assumes the risk of its loss. WKQC is not responsible for the safe arrival of a prize or prize certificate. Any winners of certificates/vouchers will be subject to the terms and conditions as set forth by the provider of the certificate/voucher.
C. There is no substitution, transfer or cash equivalent for prizes, except that sponsor may, at its sole discretion, substitute prizes of comparable value or cash. The prizes are expressly limited to the items listed above and do not include taxes, gratuities or any other expenses. Other restrictions may apply.
4. SELECTION OF WINNERS:
A. Ten (10) winners will be selected on Tuesday, September 2nd, 2008 at 11:00 am ET in a random drawing of all eligible entries received.
B. Winner will be notified by telephone following the drawing. If a winner cannot be contacted within three days (3) days of the notification attempt then that potential winner forfeits the prize and an alternate winner will be selected in a random drawing of all remaining eligible entries.
C. Odds of winning the prize depends on the number of eligible entries received.
D. Winner need not listen or be present to win.
G. Winners must execute and return any Affidavit of Eligibility and/or Release of Liability Prize Acceptance Form within thirty (30) days of winning or prize will be forfeited and an alternate winner will not be selected.
5. CONDITIONS:
A. Payments of all federal, state and local taxes are solely the responsibility of the winners. Winners will be required to complete and submit an IRS Form W-9 with the winner’s full Social Security Number or the equivalent for receipt of any prize valued at $600 or more or for any prizes awarded by the Station in a calendar year with an aggregate value of $600 or more. Failure to submit a complete W-9 or equivalent will result in forfeiture of the prize.
B. By participating in the Contest, the winner or winners agree to have their name, voice, or likeness used in any advertising or broadcasting material relating to this Contest without additional financial or other compensation, and, where legal, to sign a publicity release confirming such consent prior to the acceptance of the prize.
C. Prior to awarding any prize or prize certificate, WKQC in its sole discretion may require Contest winners (and their travel companions, if any) to sign a liability release, agreeing to hold WKQC, its corporate licensee, its parent, subsidiary and affiliated corporations, and the officers, shareholders, directors, employees, agents, and representatives of each of them harmless against any and all claims or liability arising directly or indirectly from the prize or participation in the Contest.
D. WKQC, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to disqualify any person tampering with the entry process; the operation of WKQC’s Web Site or is otherwise in violation of the rules. It further reserves the right to cancel, terminate or modify the Contest if it is not capable of completion as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention or technical failures of any sort.
E. WKQC reserves the right to make changes to the rules of the Contest, including the substitution of a prize or equivalent value, which will become effective upon announcement. If due to circumstances beyond the control of WKQC, any competition or prize-related event is delayed, rescheduled, postponed, cancelled, or has a change of venue, WKQC reserves the right, but not the obligation, to cancel or modify the Contest and shall not be required to award a substitute prize In addition, WKQC is not responsible for any cancellations, postponements, overbooking or rescheduling due to any problem beyond its control.
F. Failure to comply with the rules may result in a Contestant’s disqualification solely at the discretion of WKQC.
G. WKQC is not responsible for typographical or other errors in printing, the offering, or the administration of the Contest or in the announcement of a prize.
H. Copies of the written Contest rules and a list of all winners (when complete) are available during regular business hours at the main studio of WKQC, 4015 Stuart Andrew Blvd. Charlotte, NC 28217 or by sending a self-addressed stamped envelope to WKQC.
